We edited our footage on Mac's provided by the school, using some editing software called "iMovie" and sometimes "Final Cut Express". Final Cut Express is far more versatile than iMovie as it has more industry standard features. In order to add a professional appearance to our video I decided to play around on Final Cut Express and discovered ways in creating good effects to add interest to our video. We did around 4-5 hours editing a week both during media lessons and in our free periods, with the video overall taking us about a month to edit the whole promo. When beginning to think about our digipak aswell however, we decided to split the group and Ryan and Jacob started on the digipak whilst I carried on with the editing of the promo.
The hardest part of editing the footage was being able to hear which shot was what over music being played by everybody else. It's due to this issue that we decided to edit the video in our free periods, where the room was empty and quiet. By doing this, we made our lip syncing effective as each clip was played at it's specific point in the song.
